I passed out 4 years back. And worked as a JR for few years .I didnt appaer for PG entrance during that time because of family responsiblities. Now I am married and nearing 30.I wish to do my PG but i am confused as to where should I start? Will I be able to compete with the freshers?I am out of practise since quite sometime. That also makes me depressed because I am the only one in my batch who isnt doing anything, just sitting at home and cooking ,cleaning at home.Everyone else in my family(none of them is a doc) earns 10L + per annum. What i was getting was peanuts infront of that. They have done BA/MA/B.tech etc but earning much much well.I dont even wish to talk to them as i feel inferior.I just cry the whole day as to why did i choose this profession at all.I was just 18 at that time when this decision was taken. And also blame the conditions at my home which prevented me from taking up the entrance early on.I keep asking God WHY ME?Friends if there are others in the same boat as me please reply to my post.I feel miserable.I really wish to get out of this viscious circle and get on with life with a PG degree in my hand.Help me please.I need the support of fellow doctors.

hello sir/madam.....its really a tough position to be in...but all i would say is at first take note of where u stand...and be comfortable with it..then only u can change it....we are responsible for what we end up being...as it was and is always our decision....also take your spouse into confidence...

even at this age u can definitely crack a pg seat...if u have some category like obc or sc or st or in service......nothing better than that..also join some coaching or test series though its a little late.. in speed or bhatia ...25 percent classes done....thats one option...can start going to a library...

give as many tests as possible in the next few months till the next set of exams...apply for as many exams as is possible....with practice everything becomes possible...even things which seem impossible at first...

also regarding course to take...at your age with no backup surgery is not in contention...if interested in clinicals... medicine would be best...or if not interested in clinicals...some thing like para or preclinical...theses days they get payed minimum 5oks in private colleges...and these subjects are also easy to grt...only getting into rank list is all that is needed..

i hope this helps you..all the best

all the best to all
best regards

hey....u seem to be in a fix.!! u need to relax sit back and not get too disturbed on ur situation. dont ask why me? am sure u dnt do that when became a doctor!! so its ok, agreed that u are in a bad situation but dont let the money issue hurt ur ego!! ya i know many in ur family may be earning a lot but they are not docs isnt it?? u must feel proud of what u are. Yes, the outcome now may be far less in monetary terms but if u fight out u can do wonders. U can surely get ur pg seat and fulfill ur dream, all u need is a bit of super hardwork and determination to succeed. Its never too late to compete and u can surely do well. U'll take time no doubt, but once u get into the groove, u can get what u want. rxpg will help u in whatever moral boosters u want. Sum up ur whole situation and decide what u wannna be and then start, Well begun is half won!!! so start...all the best
