Q 142. Anencephaly can be diagnosed by ultrasound at :
a. 14 -18 week of gestation
b. 20- 24 week of gestation
c. 24 -37 week of gestation
d. 10 -12 week of gestation
confusion is between 10-12 and 14-18 wks usg diagnose with 100 percent accuracy at 2 trimester but earliest at 9 wks

Earliest detectable congenital anomaly by USG is anencephaly. - It can be

diagnosed as early as at 10 weeks -It is best diagnosed (100% accuracy)

at 12 weeks.

nadu r u sure it is best diagnosed at 12 wks where from u have taken the reference becoz williams says best diagnosed at 2 trimester
