The appropriate answer is non response bias.
i think you too will agree after reading this-
"Nonresponse bias - A common problem encountered in house hold health surveys is the non compliance of people who have scheduled interviews . The most valid way to manage the problem of "nonresponse" is to try repeatedly to visit or call the nonresponders at their homes. If this is unsucessful the most appropriate way is to include them in the survey but treat them as unknown in the data analysis."
All i got is this after searching. what do you say?

response bias
Response bias – In any study in which responses of some sort (e.g., answers to set questions) are required of PARTICIPANTS, response bias exists if, independently of the effect of any experimental manipulation, the participants are more likely to respond in one way than in another (e.g., more likely, in a multiple-choice task, to choose Option A than Option B).

i thnk ans is b)
response bias
It is the inclination of respondents in a research survey to give the answer that they believe the interviewer wants to hear.
volunteer bias
people who sign up or come for studies are well known to be much healthier than the general population.
most extensively studied in trials on human sexuality.
Since some people come out to volunteer (who are healthy) and some do not (who are not so healthy) & this influences the result of the trial: THIS IS THE ANSWER.
[Bias is a factor which changes the result and prevents us from getting the true picture.]
i got this frm net !!!
