Langman's Embyrology is good for visualizing n understanding the concepts....
But I B Singh is more than enough for the I MBBS as many questions are not asked from embyrology in 1st yr exams.....

IB
IB singh is the basic book- small and concise- read that first, and then go for the hi-funda ones. If you start off with a big book, more than often- you end up quitting it midway.

I think embrology is best illustrated by Langmann, None is better. U can mug up from IB but to understand Langmann is the best

inderbir singh - embryology is the best book for first year- embryology.. new edition also has a dvd with videos which is very good- makes it easy to remember.
langman is also a good book- but difficult to read and understand in first year mbbs- in my opinion
