The purpose of this pamphlet is to inform persons who are involved with, or who intend to apply for, the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) on matters relating to application, background, scope and other details of the examination. The MCCEE is offered to International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and International Medical Students (IMSs), as well as to D.O. graduates of American Osteopathic Association accredited schools.

“MCC” or “Council” refers to the Medical Council of Canada;
“IMG” refers to International Medical Graduate(s);
“IMS” refers to International Medical Student(s);
“MCCEE” refers to the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination;
“MCCQE Part I” refers to the MCC Qualifying Examination Part I;
“MCCQE Part II” refers to the MCC Qualifying Examination Part II;
“LMCC” refers to a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada;
“WHO” refers to World Health Organization;
“IMED” refers to International Medical Education Directory;
“FAIMER” refers to Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research;
