Candidates taking the exams are assessed in relation to the cohort of candidates taking the MRCPCH Part Two exam on that day. Candidates’ scores on the two papers are totalled to give one score and this score is converted into a pass/fail grade. Candidates will no longer receive a grade out of twenty. Instead, as with the Part One examinations, candidates will receive a letter informing them whether or not they have passed the examination and the actual percentage they achieved. This will take effect from August 2005.
