KOLKATA (WEST BENGAL) DM ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Points to note:
1. In my opinion it is relatively easy to get with focused preparation
2. Courses are MCI recognized
3. Training is of very good standard
HOW TO APPLY
1. The notification is due in March or April. It might come out in February too so keep watching
2. The notification will be on the website www . thewbuhs . org
3. You need come to Kolkata only for the examination; there is no need to come to Kolkata for the application process
4. The whole application process can be done online. However you need to send a printout of the application by post
HOW TO PREPARE
1. The exam has 100 MCQs
2. Correct answer 3 and incorrect answer minus 1. I am not sure about this so check the prospectus
3. Of these 100 questions, 70 are from general Medicine and 30 from the specialty subject you choose. There is some talk about making the ratio 50:50 but you should check from the current prospectus when it comes out at www . thewbuhs . org
4. Some, rather only a few, of the questions in the general Medicine section are from the basic sciences
5. There is only one session
6. The results will be declared in the same website
