Here are few prognostic factors for Ca cervix:
1)AGE:

Those presenting at less than 35 yrs of age have WORSE prognosis!
THE OLDER THE BETTER.

2)STAGE:

The more advanced the stage the poorer the prognosis is!

3)GRADING AND TYPING:

4 types of grades and types are observed:

1)Large cell keratinizing type
2)Large cell non keratinizing type
3)Small cell keratinizing type
4)Small cell non keratinizing type

LARGE CELL KERATINIZING TYPE HAS THE MOST FAVOURABLE PROGNOSIS

4)Lymph & Vascular space Invasion(LVSI):

this denotes the microscopic involvment of capillaries and lymph vessels by tumour cells.

LVSI is always associated with worse prognosis and stormy progression from a lower stage to the higher ones.

5)DEPTH OF INVASION and LYMPH NODE involvment:

5mm depth----------2% lymph nodes involved
6-10mm depth------5% lymph nodes involved
>15mm depth------26% lymph nodes invloved

6)Occult parametrial extension:

occult parametrial involvment in the form of any change in form or consistency of the parametrium is associated with worse prognosis.

7)Tumour size and volume:

large tumours have worse prognosis than small tumours, though in the same stage!

thus a 1cm stage I has a better prognosis than a 6cm stage I tumour.

8)Immune competence:

decreased immunity is associated with higher risk for invasive carcinoma and again stormy progression.
thus,an AIDS pt. with a low CD 4 count has a worse prognosis than an otherwise normal female, with Ca cervix, though in the same stage.

happy studying all of u!
