MRCGP candidates will start their revision 8-12 weeks prior to the exam when they enrol in a revision course. With the introduction of the Critical Reading Paper in 1990, candidates must now demonstrate a knowledge of the literature. Most trainees do not have the time or motivation to read extensively, and as the exam looms the amount they perceive they need to read becomes overwhelming and they do not know where to start. This book addresses this new need in preparing for the exam by combining a guide to the literature with a revision programme for the written papers and orals. The book contains mock question papers, model anawers, seminars on MCQ, MEQ and the Orals, CRQ advice, a guide to the literature, what the examiners are looking for and a revision programme.
