This sudden unexpected reduction in the International bandwidth is suspected to cause some delay in accessing various international sites (that includes RxPG) and their responses across the country. Action is being taken to minimize the effect by all the major ISP's like Bharti Airtel (as part of the consortium that manages these cables), Tata Communications (network administrator of some of the these cables) and state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and this issue is expected to be resolved within a week's time.
This cable cut could affect users browsing RxPG from India, particularly from Chennai location where our support center is based as the ISP's have rerouted the traffic through the south Asian and Pacific routes and this could be causing the delay while browsing the websites, as we are all aware that RxPG datacenters are based in the US.
Airtel ISP in chennai has assured our support center that within 24 to 48 hours there could be a significant improvement in the browsing speeds.
We would advice everyone to be patient in case of a delayed support to feedback requests, as we would eventually act on each and every support request. We would keep you posted on twitter and in this thread.
